FROM MY DIARY - MY CURRENT PHASE (6.10.23)

Writing, being a great pleasure for me, where I look to words for their strength to express in the visible world, I do it as a vocation and creative impulse: just as I draw and paint. Therefore, keeping an artist's log has never been tedious or laborious for me; I do it like I do my drawings, they are nuances of my inner self. Nevertheless, I'm going to dedicate a space on this blog to some of my diary entries, which I think will help you understand my work, such as the excerpt below.

My current phase; 6.10.23:

The storms of my first youth have passed, and with them the impulses of untimely painting.

With my second youth, perhaps my last, everything calms down and I seem to be in a mature phase of painting.

Emotion, for me now, has retreated a little into the medium, which used to explode outwards.

I want to see beauty speak through production, not so much screaming, anguish and commotion.

But they're all still here, but in a renewed mood, in an autumn that overlaps

the passionate summer.

The sharp lines, the anarchic lines, give way to constructions of images, of subtle evocations of form.

subtle evocations of form.

These, however, are full of the same feelings, the same forces, but they turn inwards

just as the vibrations of the flowers shrink in winter.

The dry leaves fall in the fall, their bare branches are exposed.

The extravagance of the forms all wither, the surface of the temperament remains.

But feeling still survives, less blatant, no less outspoken.

The tranquil lakes breathe calm under the air that blows over them, the storms have passed,

the drops have fallen, the feelings are now reflected in the lake.

PS: The image on the cover and at the top of the text is a work of mine called "Autumn Wind", a watercolor on paper, made a year before this writing, but already under the phase I refer to in the text.
