PEN DRAWING AND STUDIES

Some time ago, I believe it was a few years ago, I discovered in the simplicity of a bic pen a whole power to be developed in relation to lines and spontaneous drawing, I often consider it - in moments of rapture of production - even better than an ink pen. This is because the bic pen, being precisely less powerful than the ink pen (in relation to the quality and ability to condense the ink to be allocated to the paper) allows a stronger stroke (for "heavy-handed" artists) without however, a lot of ink remains on the paper, on the contrary, an ink pen requires more delicacy when drawing as it pours more ink and at greater power onto the support. It would be, in a rough comparison, the difference between mechanical steering and hydraulic - or electric - steering in relation to cars. It turns out that when you begin to practice drawing with a Bic pen, the power of the line emerges due to the paradoxical impotence of the medium (the Bic pen). I consider it a practice similar to that of drypoint in relation to engravings. I have been carrying out an endless series of studies, some of which I will leave to be seen here, were carried out on different dates and years from mid-2020 until then:
