In other words: think about the shape of the world through the shape of the medium that is used to externalize it.
So, the clouds surrounding a blue daytime sky are smoky, produced by accumulations and small impasto of overlays of a white tone placed on a blue background, and when you look at this blue before you in nature itself, it see under the plastic of this process. It is by seeing, therefore, that creation is achieved. Drawing and painting is a matter of seeing.
