A Mãe de Deus is the first in a series of watercolors with the title Omonimo, Jesus Christ appears in the arms of a virgin mother looking at us with the eyes of someone who has just arrived in the world, the work speaks of the incarnation of the verb and honors the sacred feminine in the conception of the mother of God and of all mothers who become divine women by giving birth to the children of God and fostering the divine creative act. Mary's skin, the mother of God, is light while her clothes are dark, bringing us a contrast that reminds us of the great sacred classics of the Baroque, Jesus is a child in Mary's lap but his eyes face us revealing his holiness and his intelligence, the halos above their heads remind us of the holy aspect of the family and the divinity present in the family principles incarnated in Christian women and in the new arrivals from paradise to this terrestrial kingdom.
