STATEMENT

"It is not enough to create the image, because, well, it already exists somewhere, even if in the intimate memory of the one who creates it... it is necessary, for the glory of art and the artist, to make it speak, to inflate it the permeating life,
give it life as in the Frankenstein tale, the artist is the one who enlivens the images, creating the works...."

- Jorge Quiros -

STATEMENT:

From an early age, I devoted myself to discovering the painting secrets of the ancient masters, observing them and replicating them, discovering, later on, that the ancient painters did exactly this practice to internalize the painting secret of their predecessors; I have fed on painting my whole life, breathing it in its fullness, filling my being with splendor.

That's how I trained as an artist, that's how I matured in a style that has always signaled its strength. My dream of achieving good painting came true when I was still young, after a lifetime of training and observation.

When painting, I seek to create good painting, good drawing, not by freezing realism, but by the very life of its movement. Making a painting breathe, making the work "speak", has always been my goal: life in the work. For that is how Michellangelo expressed himself well when he said to his Moses: "Pharla-te!"

What lives is naturally expressive, it is in this life that I exercise my expression, in this "realism" that is expressive. My themes lie in dreams, from where I project them to earth, in a work bathed in the lights of the other world, to better build this one. The ideal I always see shining in the imagination, and it is to this ideal that I devote my life and work.
